‘The Studio’ just made Emmy history. The Apple TV+ comedy created by Caviar directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, alongside Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez—scored 23 nominations, making it the most nominated first-season comedy of all time. Directed and starring Rogan, the series follows a legacy Hollywood executive juggling ego, corporate demands, and his passion for producing quality films. This very self-aware series perfectly balances the pain and hyperbole of our industry.
Nominations include: Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor (Seth Rogen), Outstanding Writing & Directing (Rogen, Goldberg, Huyck, Gregory, Perez), Supporting Actress nods for Kathryn Hahn and Catherine O’Hara, and Guest Actor nominations for Bryan Cranston, Ron Howard, Anthony Mackie, Dave Franco, Martin Scorsese, and Zoë Kravitz. To top it off, the show also picked up recognition across casting, costumes, sound, editing, cinematography, music supervision, and more.
