Greenpeace and Mother London have teamed up with director Samona Olanipekun of Sir Steve McQueen’s Lammas Park for a new UK short film highlighting the environmental crises facing upcoming generations. Featuring Will Poulter (‘Midsommar’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy 3’), and Exec Produced by Steve McQueen, the film is set to a cover of Fleetwood Mac‘s classic, ‘Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow’, performed by young musicians- reimagined by Grammy-winning producer Fraser T Smith (Stormzy, Adele, Drake) and rapper Avelino – as a sobering reminder of the cost of celebrating the fossil fuel industry. Depicting a hedonistic party brimming with excess and gluttony, where the kitchen nurses raging fires and cigarettes are stubbed out on melting ice-sculptures, the young musicians struggle to communicate their concern to the older decadent partygoers. The short film will be screened at the upcoming Glastonbury Festival‘s main stages between 21-25 June, with the project’s branding used on-site to encourage attendees to stand against corporations damaging the environment on our behalf.
